Elizabeth turned ten yesterday. We celebrated with surprises and singing and ice cream and cake. This cake. In the photos it's lopsided and sloppy and I can tell you that it looked worse in person. I could say that I slapped this thing together at the last minute. But, I would be lying. I spent over five hours making this cake. It was so intense, that Beth actually thanked me for my 'investment.' You're welcome, sweetheart. Happy Birthday.
the colours are so vivid, and I love the butterflies on top. wish I could have been there to share this happy rainbow.
ReplyDeleteMe too--also, I can't take complete credit. Beth stayed up way past bedtime to make sure I added enough food colouring.
Deletethis may well be the coolest cake i have ever seen.... was it as good as it must have been?
